I am a hammer that can help to build this land,
But I need the Architect Who’s written out the plan.
And I am an instrument. I’m broken but redeemed,
And I was made to play my Saviour’s symphony.

Alleluia! I am not my own.
I was bought with the blood of the Righteous One.
And I was designed with His work in mind,
So I can delight in Him until the day is done.

Oh, I’ve never earned a single breath that I have breathed,
And yet they keep on coming and they do not cease.
And when the morning comes and I open up my eyes,
I know that I did not commission this sunrise.

Alleluia! I am not my own.
I was bought with the blood of the Righteous One.
And I was designed with His grace in mind,
So I can abide in Him until the day is done.

We are all pieces of handiwork.
We were made to work, so let’s get building
The Kingdom of Heaven here on earth,
For we know that our labour will not be in vain.

We are all pieces of handiwork.
We were made to work, so let’s get building
The Kingdom of Heaven here on earth,
For we know that our labour will not be in vain.

Alleluia! I am not my own.
I was bought with the blood of the Righteous One.
And I was designed with His grace in mind,
So I can abide with Him until the day is done.

"For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them."
