“The Life That Counts” | POEM of the week

THE life that counts must toil and fight; Must hate the wrong and love the right; Must stand for truth, by day, by night—        This is the life that counts. The life that counts must hopeful be; In darkest night make melody; Must wait the dawn on bended knee—        This is the life that counts. The life that counts must aim to rise Above the earth to sunlit skies; Must fix its gaze on Paradise—        This is the life that counts. The life that counts must helpful be; The cares and needs of others see; Must seek the slaves of sin to free—        This is the life that counts. The life that counts is linked with God; And turns not from the cross, the rod; But walks with joy where Jesus trod—        This is the life that counts. "let your manner of life be worthy of the gospel of Christ" Philippians 1:27 ESV

And Moses sware on that day, saying, Surely the land whereon thy feet have trodden shall be thine inheritance, and thy children’s for ever, because thou hast wholly followed the Lord my God. And now, behold, the Lord hath kept me alive, as he said, these forty and five years, even since the Lord spake this word unto Moses, while the children of Israel wandered in the wilderness: and now, lo, I am this day fourscore and five years old. As yet I am as strong this day as I was in the day that Mo
